Now that our season has ended we’re looking back at all of the wonderful memories from our 6-week summer. We had camp games like the world cup, regatta, pirates. Our older campers and LIT’s went on canoe trips to Algonquin Park and got to experience camping in the wilderness. We were able to start a new music program with a suite of ukuleles, generously donated by Trish Telfer. We had talent shows, barbecues, sleep-ins, fireworks, carnival games, amazing weather, and much, much more. Needless to say is was a summer packed with fun and an amazing experience for the campers and staff.
We would like to thank everyone who attended for helping to create such a wonderful summer and being part of the Cedar Ridge community. We had a record number of campers attend Cedar Ridge this summer and can’t wait to see everyone again next summer!
We are exited to announce that registration for the 2019 summer season is now open on our website. Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions on anything regarding our upcoming summer. Last summer we reached capacity in both of our July sessions, if you’re interested in one of these sessions make sure to register early to secure your spot. You can catch all of our updates by following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter or by looking at our website.
Last summer we offered Cedar Ridge hoodies to families who referred other friends and family to attend camp. This coming summer we’re going to continue the referral program. Details on rewards and eligibility will be coming soon so stay tuned!
Discovering Your Strengths Workshops
Here at CRC, we were lucky to have a new addition to our programming this past summer. Roberta Harris from Roberta Harris Life Coaching visited and facilitated her “Discovering Your Strengths Workshops” as a pilot workshop.
Her ½ day program is a fun, experiential and interactive program, using games, music, art, nature awareness, dance, and mindfulness exercises. It’s designed for kids to get in touch with their core strengths and to develop soft skills, to enhance their hard skills learning at CRC. She spent mornings with the kids outdoors and receive much positive feedback from the youth. We are looking to bring Roberta’s Discovering Your Strengths programming for the future at CRC. Please let us know your interest in this type of programming for your kids.
