Winter Outdoor Education

Many schools and groups are now realizing the potential benefits of outdoor education, recreation and physical activity during the winter season. Some of the benefits are in the form of improved mental health, self-esteem, confidence, and creativity while also developing the essential skills and practices necessary for a lifelong relationship with the outdoors.

Cedar Ridge Camp is a year-round Outdoor Education Centre, located in the heart of the Madawaska Highlands. Our site transforms into a beautiful snow-covered wonderland during the winter season, boasting over 150 acres of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails.

Groups can select from a wide range of winter programs and activities delivered by our team of experienced outdoor educators.

Winterized Facilities

Our main winterized facility has 10 bedrooms and sleeps up to 80 people. The Lodge has a large lounge and fireplace, a group dining area, separate washrooms with shower facilities, as well as an accessible washroom. We also offer several external winterized accommodations.

Below is the 2024 group pricing for Cedar Ridge Camp. Please note that all prices do not include 13% HST and are subject to change.

  • 1 Night – $105.00 per person
  • 2+ Nights – $100.00 per person per night
