Peter Ruys de Perez, Owner & Executive Director
Peter has a BA (History & Political Science) from McGill University. He spent 15 years as a camper and staff member at Camp Mazinaw in Central Ontario. After a career on Bay Street, he founded Cedar Ridge Camp and is fulfilling his dream to establish an environment where young men and women can grow. An outdoor enthusiast, Peter is a participant in many Ontario triathlons.
Grayson Burke, Director & Co-Founder
Grayson has a BRLS (Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies) from Brock University. Grayson has worked for several Ontario camps including Kilcoo Camp, where he spent 15 years as both a camper and staff member. He brings commitment and dedication to working with youth. As a founder of Cedar Ridge Camp, Grayson has been instrumental in growing the program and establishing the culture that has made Cedar Ridge one of Canada’s premier camps.
Jesse Campbell, Assistant Camp Director
After spending more than a decade as a classroom teacher in Ontario and overseas, Jesse made the move to working full time in outdoor education in 2022. He is passionate about Cedar Ridge being a place where children (and adults) can learn and grow outdoors, managing the administration side of camp, and disc golf. Jesse holds a Masters Degree in Teaching from Griffith University (Australia) and an Honours BA in Philosophy from the University of Guelph.
Mackenzie “Chutz” Storey, Director of Outdoor Education
Mackenzie, or “Chutz” as most who come to camp would know him, has been with Cedar Ridge since 2017 and has been leading the Outdoor Education Centre since 2022. Being on site at camp almost year-round, Chutz has a major role in keeping Cedar Ridge running smoothly and looking great. Chutz handles everything related to hosting schools, groups, and retreats, and does so with amazing attention to providing fun, safe programming and experiences for all. Whether he’s welcoming a group to camp, helping students get settled in for a meal, or leading a campfire, Chutz is always ready to respond to anything guests might need.
Riana Clarke, Program Director
As Program Director, Riana is deeply involved in creating fun, engaging, and educational experiences for campers and guests. She has worked across various camp areas, from leading adventure programs like High Ropes and Archery to organizing camp-wide events that encourage community and teamwork. With years of experience at Cedar Ridge Camp, Riana ensures each camper leaves with new skills, friendships, and unforgettable memories. Her commitment to cultivating an inclusive and spirited camp environment is a driving force behind the growth of our programs. Riana is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care from Humber College, bringing a solid foundation in child development and youth engagement to her role.
