Join us for a fun-filled winter adventure at the Hastings Snowshoe Hustle—a family-friendly event celebrating the best of the season while supporting our community.  Participants are encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable food item as a donation. Cash donations are also welcome. All proceeds from the event go directly to local food banks.

The Snowshoe Hustle

The Snowshoe Hustle is a great way for families to get active and enjoy scenic winter trails. Participants can choose between a 1km or 4km trail. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. All abilities and experience levels are welcome!

After the Hustle, the trails will be open for participants to enjoy for the rest of the day.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own snowshoes. Snowshoes will be available at the event while supplies last.

Schedule

• 10am – Arrival
• 10:30am – Introductions
• 10:45am – Snowshoe events begin (1km, 4km tracks)
• 12pm – Lunch, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Prizes
• 11am-2pm – Open Activities: Skating, Tobogganing, Campfire, Showshoeing, Dogsledding & Crafts
• Fun for all ages and abilities!

Activities

Throughout the day, families can enjoy:

Snowshoeing – snowshoes provided
Ice Skating – please bring your own skates
Tobogganing – toboggans and sleds provided
Cross-Country Skiing – equipment provided
Dog Sledding – provided by Run My Dogs
Arts & Crafts – provided by Herman Public Library
Campfire & Marshmallow Roasting

All families are invited to enjoy a complimentary hot dog lunch, courtesy of Bancroft Foodland, as part of the event. Coffee and tea will also be available.
